The LLC’s licensed child care center provides a safe environment and engaging activities for youth of all ages within walking distance to some of the most impoverished areas of Baltimore City. The center maintains high rates of attendance by providing a caring staff, a comfortable environment, and a variety of engaging activities including hot meals and snacks. Since 2004, the LLC has provided year-round programs to help break the cycle of addiction, poverty, and crime.
Camp Liberty (June thru August)
Summer Day Camp for children ages 5 -12.
Liberty After School Program (August thru June)
School-age students recieve homework assistance, tutoring, exercise, snacks and dinner to help them grow in every way. Single working mom's have more free time to return to work and meet the needs of their family.
Youth Development Apprenticeship Program
Provides work experience, job skills, and training for employment in the following three apprenticeship tracks: Child Care, Computer Support, and Food Preparation and Service.
Mentoring Program
Provides mentoring services for at-risk young people aged 5 to 18. LLC mentoring relationships
assist children who are at risk of engaging in negative behaviors that lead to school drop-out and/or arrest.
